7-9pm - Komedia, Brighton. For the first time ever, London’s legendary performance poetry night, Jawdace will come to Brighton for a special night of as part of Brighton Book Festival. Jawdance fuses the freshest voices with stellar talent for a night that showcases global voices, creating memorable “you had to be there” magic. Headlined by Keith Jarrett, hosted by AFLO. the poetand featuring Kareem Parkins Brown along with eleven local emerging poets who have been working with AFLO. the poet as part of Apples and Snakes ‘Poets in your City’, programme. Expect live DJ and more. Aghh! will also be launching a zine featuring work created throughout the workshop series. Produced by Aghh! Zine and generously funded by Apples and Snakes, the publication showcases the creativity, stories, and voices of the young people involved. All proceeds from zine sales will be donated to The Hummingbird Project. Aghh! are excited to be launching a zine funded by Apples and Snakes. The zine brings together a collection of writing, and creative responses from workshop participants. Every zine purchased will help support The Hummingbird Project, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.

11am-5pm - Join us, as we walk 21km along the beautiful Sussex coastline and take on the Seven Sisters Hike from Seaford to Eastbourne.
