Hummingbird Youth Services
Our award winning services provide a wide range of Youth-centre activities, all run to provide young refugees with the care and support they need.

Young Leaders programme is run in partnership with TEDxBrighton, working with young people to develop their confidence & skills.
Hummingbird Young Leaders frequently speak at events and collaborate with the media.

Youth Board
The Hummingbird Youth Board meets quarterly, creating a dedicated space for young people to come together, share their perspectives, and shape the direction of our work.
It’s about more than participation—it’s about power. The board is a platform for youth leadership, where young people are supported to speak up, influence decisions, and ensure their voices are heard at every level.
By giving young people a genuine seat at the table, we’re building a community led not just for them, but with them.
Global Social Club (GSC) meets every Monday, 5–7pm.
We welcome young people aged 14–25 from across the city and around the world to what we are proud to believe is the first Youth Club of Sanctuary in the UK. GSC offers a warm, consistent welcome to young people seeking sanctuary—a space rooted in joy, connection, and belonging. It’s a place to relax, have fun, and build friendships.
We celebrate the richness of different cultures and identities, recognising that there is far more that unites us than divides us.

Be Well, Be Heard
Specialist 1:1 Support. We provide holistic, trauma-informed care for young refugees who may have experienced trauma and/or are facing significant challenges in their lives. Our support covers housing and homelessness prevention, destitution, welfare, education, asylum, and any other needs a young person may have to help them rebuild their lives and thrive.
Our team is currently working at full capacity and we are not open for external referrals at this time.

We’re proud to be working in close partnership with the Helen Bamber Foundation to offer specialist, trauma-informed assessment and therapeutic support for young people from refugee backgrounds.
Together, we’re creating spaces where young people can access care that is not only expert, but compassionate and culturally responsive. Support is tailored to each individual—delivered one-to-one or in groups—and, where needed, with interpreters so every young person can engage fully, in their own language.
