Arriving in the UK for the first time as a young refugee can be difficult and confusing, especially after a long and uncertain journey. English is often not everyone’s first language either and understanding and remembering what everyone is saying is tough.
However, an issue that continues to face young refugees and migrants is the number of new people that come in and out of their life in those first few weeks and months such as; Social Workers, Immigration Officers, Foster Carers and the list goes on.
To help with this, the lovely people over at MCLU (Migrants & Refugees Childrens Legal Unit Isinglton) have produced this handy guide and video, to help guide young people arriving in the UK and teach them ‘Who is Who‘ amougst all those new faces!
The guide is also available in multiple languages, including Arabic and Farsi.
